BBQ Breast of Lamb

I was rushing through the market & picked up 3 yes, 3 packages of Lamb Breast instead of Beef Short Ribs. I will make this again. I just wanted to share the pics.

Check out Monique's Blog, her Finger Lickin' Oven "Grilled" BBQ Boneless Beef Ribs recipe was the inspiration for this!

For this recipe, I used a little more than 6 pounds of breast of lamb.
I cut most of the visible fat from the ribs. Next, I sectioned them in to single portions. I shook the UNSEASONED meat tenderizer on them & set them aside.

You Must Not Omit This Essential Ingredient!

Next I prepared my sauce loosely based on Monique's Recipe.

I used
2/3 cup honey,
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tbsp onion flakes
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp white vinegar
1/2 tsp ginger powder
1/2 cup salsa
3/4 cup ketchup

I cooked these at 350 degrees for about an hour in convection oven. During the last 15 minutes, I basted the ribs repeatedly.

The family enjoyed this recipe. There are zero ribs left. I'm eager to try this again using Monique's exact recipe.

In my town there are many people and restaurants of mid east descent and they all serve lamb. Very popular here. It's my all time favorite meat!
