Tasty Taco Seasoning (Homemade)

I know I had a packet of Taco Seasoning in my pantry. I was unable to locate it.
I decided to make my own taco seasoning mix.

Wet Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

Mix The Dry Seasonings

Things should Be Looking Like This

Add the Seasoning Mixture to the Browned Meat

Add Recaito & Sofrito

Add Tomato Sauce & About 2 oz. of Water

Fresh Grated Cheddar Cheese

Quartered/Cubed Roma Tomatoes and Chopped Iceberg Lettuce

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
1 1/2 tsp Paprika
1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
1 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Lawry's Seasoning Mix (optional)
1 tbsp Recaito
1 tbsp Sofrito
1/2 tsp White Vinegar
1 8 ounce can of Tomato Sauce

* You may find Recaito (Cilantro base) and Sofrito (Tomato base) in the Spanish Food section of your local supermarket. They are both cooked down bases of garlic, peppers, and seasonings for stews, sauces and beans. After opening, these jars should be stored in the refrigerator.

DIRECTIONS

You may mix the dry items together to store for later use, or add them as listed to browned taco meat. Next add the wet ingredients. Stir well. Allow the mixture to simmer for 10-15 minutes! Enjoy
